Sara Richter

Staff Member/Rehearsal Assistant

Sara took her very first dance class at Inspire at just 18 months old. From that moment on, the studio became her second home, where she spent the next 16 years training, growing, and developing a lifelong love for dance.

She went on to earn her BFA in Dance from the prestigious Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase. During her time there, Sara had the opportunity to train with renowned faculty and perform works by acclaimed choreographers. She also had the honor of working closely with Fulbright Scholar Marcel Gbeffa (Benin) as both a rehearsal director and class assistant, while performing alongside him at events throughout the East Coast.

Immediately following graduation, Sara moved to New York City, where she made her professional debut in New Information, created and produced by Cain Coleman at The Shed, acting as both a dancer and dance captain. She later continued working with Coleman as a rehearsal director, collaborating on four commissioned works at The Ailey School.

After two years in New York, Sara is excited to return to her hometown of Chicago and begin this new chapter of her life. Grateful for the teachers and mentors who shaped her journey, she is honored to give back to the studio that gave her so much. Sara is passionate about helping dancers build a strong technical foundation while cultivating artistry and confidence. Whether in the classroom or the rehearsal process, she is committed to helping dancers refine their technique, develop confidence, and perform with artistry, intention, and pride.
