Since the early age of two, Katie’s training and background in dance spans multiple genres with a focus on technique. She was a company member of the award-winning Inspire Dance Company under the direction of Anne Forrest-Snyder. She was also a member of her High School Dance Team.
Prior to pursuing her Dance Major, she had the incredible opportunity to work with choreographers such as Adam McGaw, Hanna Bricston, Andy Pellick, Joey Dowling, Joe Lanteri, Sarah Brinson, Suzi Taylor, Anne Forrest-Snyder, Natalie Tursi, and many more. Ensemble performances include Destiny Rising at the Joyce Theatre in New York City where she was one of two of the youngest performers that took the stage, Bright Lights Shining Stars gala honoring Anne Reinking at the NYU Skirball Center, ’I’m Good’ short film by IDTV, and a commercial for “The Happy Place”.
While at the University, Katie performed in many ensemble productions on the Stevie Eller stage, which included works by Thang Dao and Marquez Johnson. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the program.
Katie is currently training to become a professional dancer with a focus on jazz and pro-style. She believes that diversity of style, experiences, creativity, and technique are important factors to herself and her students. She is extremely passionate and honored to be teaching at the studio that raised her and shaped her into the person and dancer she is today.
